The 3rd Human Variome Project Meeting concluded today with a strong statement by the participants that the Human Variome Project should come under the joint auspices of UNESCO and WHO.

The third of the Human Variome Project's biennial meetings concluded today at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. The focus of the meeting was Implementation and Integration, a key theme for the Human Variome Project. The meeting, spanning five days, was hailed as a success by the participants. In particular, the participants made it clear that the Human Variome Project should come under the joint auspices of UNESCO and WHO.
